Job Description
Principle Accountabilities
  • Develop application to Product Owner specification.
  • Assist with the modeling and design of the product.
  • Assist with the support of the product.
  • Configuration of business process and rules.
  • Development of Interfaces to legacy and industry systems.
  • Undertake bespoke development where required.
  • Be an active member of the Product Development Scrum Team.
  • Contribute to improving software development approaches and processes.
Position Requirements
Skills / Qualifications Requires:
Knowledge and Experience
  • Solid experience as a professional software engineer developing solutions for Java J2EE based applications using OO Design within a commercial product development team.
  • Highly proficient in the entire application life cycle from inception and design, through to development and support.
  • Educated to Degree level (or equiv) in Computer Science, Software engineering or related discipline.
  • Possess SCJP
  • Will possess strong technical knowledge of:
  • Java and J2EE
  • OO Design
  • XML, XSLT, HTML, JavaScript and DHTML
  • Application Servers (WebSphere, Weblogic, Tomcat)
  • Relational Databases (DB/2, UDB, Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Knowledge of TDD, SOAP, WSDL, XSTL, AJAX desirable.
  • An understanding of Agile methodologies and a working knowledge of Scrum methodology preferred.
